Parsippany Family Loses Everything In Fire: Fundraiser The Parsippany community is rallying around the Sheehan family after they lost everything in a house fire on the early morning of Saturday, Jan. 20,  according to a fundraiser. The fire broke out in the southbound lanes south of exit 40 to Route 511 in Parsippany shortly before 9:45 a.m., according to 511NJ. The Parsippany District 5 Fire Department was called to the hotel just after 10:20 a.m. and confirmed that a balcony on the first floor of the north-facing side had collapsed. Initial reports corroborated by Parsippany Focus stated that the incident occurred at the Travelodge on Route 46 East. The Boonton Fire Department responded to the call and requested a second alarm after observing flames billowing from the balcony of the two-story brick building in Boonton around 2:50 p.m., the department said.
