Nursing Home Resident Found Dead In Parsippany After Wandering Off: Police
A man who wandered out of a Morris County nursing home on Friday night was found dead on Saturday, authorities confirmed. John Eschenbach walked away from the Care One facility located at 100 Mazdabrook Road in Parsippany sometime Friday evening. His body was found on Saturday morning. It was not clear where, though. Eschenbach suffered from dementia and other medical issues.

Eight residents of a Connecticut nursing home have died during a COVID-19 outbreak that has lasted nearly six weeks. A total of 89 employees and residents have tested positive since the outbreak began at the Geer Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, located in Litchfield County, in the Town of Canaan, on Thursday, Sept. 30. Smoky Roof Fire Doused At Bergen County Nursing Home
Firefighters doused a smoky blaze at a Bergen County nursing home Friday afternoon. The building was evacuated and there didn't initially appear to be any serious injuries after the fire broke out between the roof and second floor at the Russ Berrie Home for Jewish Living around 1:30 p.m., responders said. Workers have been replacing sections of the roof for the past week and a half, they said. DA: Lehigh County Nursing Home Worker Kicked Patient, 91, In Head
A Lehigh County nursing home employee was charged with assaulting a 91-year-old combative patient. Fellowship Manor employee Julian Bailey, 48, of Whitehall, kicked the patient twice in the head on June 17, the Lehigh County district attorney's office said. The alleged incident was reported by a witness. The patient apparently had an injury on the side of his head consistent with the allegations, authorities said. A pair of staff members at a New Jersey nursing home where more than 100 people died of COVID-19 tested positive for the virus -- and later tested negative, reports say.
