NJ Man, 21, Dies After Falling From Overpass Onto Garden State Parkway, Struck By SUV
A 21-year-old Union County man died when he fell from an overpass onto the Garden State Parkway and was struck by a car Thursday, authorities said.
Joshua Goldberg, of Scotch Plains, was walking on the Oak Tree Road overpass in Woodbridge when he fell over, landing on the roadway near milepost 132.1 around 5:25 p.m., New Jersey State Police told NJ.com.
Goldberg landed on a southbound SUV, the 45-year-old driver of which was able to pull over and remain at the scene, NJSP Trooper Charles Marchan said.

State Police: Sussex County Man Ejected, Seriously Injured In Route 284 Motorcycle Crash
A Sussex County man was seriously injured after crashing a motorcycle into a snowbank off Route 284 Sunday morning, state police said.
John Veres Jr., 50, was driving a Honda motorcycle northbound on Rt. 284 when he veered to the right and hit a snowbank near milepost 2.3 in Wantage around 11:10 a.m., NJSP Philip Curry told Daily Voice.
Veres Jr., of Montague, was ejected in the crash and sustained serious injuries, Curry said.
The road was closed for about three hours following the crash, which remains under investigation, Curry said.

State Police: Hunterdon County Woman, 46, Struck, Killed By Car While Crossing Route 31
A Hunterdon County woman was struck by a car and killed while crossing Route 31 in Hampton Borough Friday evening, state police said.
Tara Temby, 46, was crossing the southbound lanes of the highway when she was hit by a Saturn driven by a 70-year-old Glen Gardner man near milepost 38.4 shortly before 7:30 p.m., NJSP Sgt. Philip Curry said.
Temby, of Flemington, was pronounced dead at the scene, Curry said.
No traffic resulted from the two-and-a-half-hour closure of the right lane following the accident, authorities said.
