Newborn Abandoned In Morris County Honored With Annual Christmas Eve Service Police in Morris County are holding an annual graveside service for Baby Mary — a newborn who was found abandoned on Christmas Eve by two boys playing in the woods in the 1980s. Her death remains unsolved. The body of a newborn girl was found by two boys playing near 7 Harmony Lane in Mendham Township on Christmas Eve in 1984, according to the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office.
