Police in Hunterdon County are seeking witnesses after a Morris County woman and two passengers were hospitalized with serious injuries in a crash on Route 523.
Diego Gonzalez-Destefan, 25, was driving a Mercury Sable east on Stanton Road when he drifted out of his lane and crossed over Route 523 without stopping at the stop sign last Friday shortly before 6:40 a.m., Readington Township Police said.
Gonzalez-Destefan, of Hampton, collided with Lisa Coston, 52, who was driving south on Route 523, police said.

Police: Morris County Woman, 43, Took Receipts From Lowe’s Parking Lot Trash, Returned For Cash
A Morris County woman was caught taking receipts out of trash cans at a local Lowe’s Home Improvement store and returning items for cash numerous times over the past several months, police said.
Penny M. Bellomi, 43, was seen removing receipts from trash cans in the parking lot of Lowe’s in Flanders on several occasions between July 30 and Dec. 8, Mount Olive Police said.
Bellomi, of Netcong, would then pick out the items listed on the receipts and return them for cash inside the store, police said.

Police: DWI Morris County Man Crashes On Route 206, Gives Officers Fake Name, License
A Morris County man was drunk when he crashed into another vehicle on Route 206 and gave police a fake name to avoid being identified, authorities charged.
Eusebio I. Cordova, 43, crashed near Route 206 and Main Street in Flanders around 6:30 p.m. Sunday, Mount Olive police said.
During questioning, Cordova, of Netcong, showed signs of intoxication and subsequently failed field sobriety tests, police said.
Cordova’s passengers left in a taxi while a search of his vehicle turned up open alcohol containers, police said.
