'Dear Delusional': Westwood Man, 69, Harassed Local Citizens With Anonymous Letters, Police Say
A 69-year-old Westwood man waged a harassment campaign against citizens who expressed their opinions about various causes in local newspapers, sending anonymous letters to their homes, authorities charged.
Bruce Manning sent the "Dear Delusional" letters to citizens in town and in neighboring Washington Township, Westwood Police Chief Michael Pontillo said.
"These unsolicited anonymous letters were delivered directly to the recipient victims' homes, which was of great concern to [them]," the chief said.

Prostitution Bust: Haledon Detectives Go Undercover, Accuse Mom Of Turning Tricks
Police in Haledon went undercover to bust an alleged prostitute.
Responding to a tip from the 400 block of Belmont Avenue, Haledon Detective Sgt. Timothy Lindberg and Detective Jeffrey Welsh identified Christine Mcalister, a 48-year-old borough resident, as their suspect, Capt. George Guzman, Jr. said.
Mcalister, who lists her occupation online as self-employed, was arrested after soliciting an undercover officer, the captain said.
She was charged with promoting prostitution and maintaining a nuisance before being released pending a Municipal Court appearance, he said.
DWI Motorist From Rockland Drives Wrong Way On Route 208, Oakland PD Says
A Rockland woman was drunk when she drove the wrong way on Route 208, police in Oakland said.
Marie Heller, 61, of Nanuet had driven her 2003 Honda Pilot north in the southbound lanes shortly after 1:30 a.m. Monday, Lt. Christian Eldridge said.
Somehow, it didn't hit anything.
Officer Michael Griffin, responding to a call from the Oakland First Aid Squad, stopped Heller after she tried getting onto Route 287, he said.
