NJ Woman Using Counterfeit $100 Bills Busted At Florida Business: Police
A 33-year-old New Jersey woman was arrested and charged in Florida with using multiple $100 bills, authorities said. Police in Brevard County were initially notified by two businesses about the phony money, the Cocoa Beach Police Department said on Facebook. After an investigation, police arrested Brenda Stefan Silvera Klembert and discovered additional victims, officers said. Klembert was charged with uttering forged instruments and theft, police said. Thousands Without Power In NJ
Thousands of New Jersey residents were without power as of 9 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 29, following gusty winds that swept the region overnight. The JCP&L map shows the following areas were in the dark: Hunterdon County: 3,953 customers Morris County: 3,642 customers Warren County: 3,594 customers Restoration times were not immediately available. Thursday will be partly sunny with a high near 40 and wind chill values between 20 and 30, the National Weather Service said. Friday, March 1 will be sunny with a high of 47. NJ Man Ran Ghost Gun Ring Out Of His Basement: Prosecutor
A 33-year-old Morris County man was arrested and charged with manufacturing and selling ghost guns from his Warren County basement on Thursday, Feb. 8, authorities said. Joseph Palumbo Jr., a Columbia resident carried out the illegal manufacture and sale of ghost guns between December 2023 and February 2024, Morris County Prosecutor Robert Carroll and Warren County Prosecutor James Pfeiffer said. PA Man Steals $40K In Jewelry From Morris County Home: Police
A 34-year-old man from Albrightsville, Pa. man was arrested and charged on Thursday, Feb. 15 after he stole $40,000 in jewelry from a house in Morris County, NJ police said. The man, who was not identified by Washington Township police, was arrested after an investigation into the theft from a Long Valley home, officers said. The man was charged with theft in the third degree, police said.

A 35-year-old Lincoln Park resident accused last December of recording his employees using the bathroom at his clothing store has been hit with new charges, authorities said. A former U.S. military member from Morris County who was convicted of sexually assaulting a Passaic County pre-teen while working as a Lyft driver was sentenced to seven years in state prison. Julio Mejia, 43, of Wharton also must register as a sex offender and remain under lifetime parole supervision, under the sentence handed down by Superior Court Judge Joseph A. Portelli in Paterson. A woman is suing a McDonald's in Morris County claiming she suffered severe burns from their hot tea in January 2022. Stacey Crisman, a Kenvil resident, says in the suit that an employee at the McDonald's at 249 Route 10 East in Succasunna did not properly close the lid on a cup of tea, causing scalding hot tea to spill all over Crisman, according to the lawsuit. The effects of the have been severe on Crisman, who said she "has lost the enjoyment of life," according to the lawsuit. She is seeking proper compensation for the damages she has suffered. Men and women ages 18 to 40 are wanted to play failed dates in a movie called "The Long Island Plunge," by Hondo Films, the casting call says. Morris County Officer Delivers Food After Uber Eats Driver Arrested: Police
A Morris County police officer made sure the food was still delivered after he arrested an Uber Eats driver on Sunday, Jan. 21. At 8:23 p.m. officers were on patrol when a random plate inquiry of a passing vehicle showed the registered owner of the car had an outstanding warrant, Florham Park Police said on Facebook.
