Moonachie Resident, 69, Hospitalized With Burns After Mobile Home Mishap
A Moonachie resident on home oxygen was hospitalized with severe flash burns on her face and hair following a mishap at her mobile home. The 69-year-old victim was taken by the Moonachie First Aid & Rescue Squad to Hackensack University Medical Center from the Vanguard mobile homes off Moonachie Avenue around 8:30 p.m. Monday, April 17, Police Lt. Jeff Napolitano said. There was no fire, indicating a likely quick flash, the lieutenant said.

Police Nab Moonachie Mobile Home Burglar Found Sleeping In Resident's Bed
A Moonachie man was seized by borough police after he broke into a mobile home and took a late-afternoon snooze, authorities said. Sgt. Victor Migliorino and Police Officer Sean Mulligan found Matthew Valent, 61, a short distance from the East Sixth Street trailer in the Vanguard Mobile Home Park off Moonachie Avenue shortly after 4 p.m. Monday, Police Chief Richard Behrens said. The front end of a tandem tractor-trailer toppled a traffic signal after a sedan slammed into it before dawn Thursday on a major roadway near the Meadowlands, authorities said. Moonachie PD: Driver Tosses Pot Out Window During Pursuit
A driver who led a Moonachie police office on a brief chase while tossing pot out the window had a bag of the drug and a pair of brass knuckles with him, authorities said. Officer Mark Mulvaney was on patrol on Moonachie Avenue when he tried pulling over a 2015 Mercedes Benz that crossed over the double-yellow line before turning onto Redneck Avenue just after 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Police Chief Richard Behrens said.
