System On Track To Be Major Hurricane Now Expected To Make Landfall In Florida: Here's Timing A major hurricane expected to develop on the Gulf Coast could hit Florida by the middle of next week as a Category 2 storm, according to forecasters. The National Hurricane Center (NHC) has designated the system in the central Caribbean Sea as Tropical Depression 19. It would be called Sara after it becomes a tropical storm as expected. Elise Finch, who was 51 years old, died over the weekend at a local hospital, the station announced. The cause of death has not been determined. Finch was an on-air fixture at WCBS for 16 years, joining the station in 2007. Old Farmer's Almanac Releases Outlook For Winter In Northeast A brand-new forecast for the winter of 2022-23 is calling for a cold, snowy one.
