A New Jersey boy was killed when a tree fell on him in a backyard, authorities said. Lucas Schwartz, 12, was identified as the victim of the Eldridge Avenue incident in Lawrence Township on a GoFundMe page. Police said he'd been playing with a friend in the backyard of a home when gusty winds blew the tree over, and it fell onto him around 12:09 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 14. A train operator was killed and multiple others hurt after a tree fell on an NJ Transit train Monday morning, Oct. 14 in Burlington County. The incident happened around 6 a.m. on the River LINE train, which had been heading north from Trenton when it struck a tree south of the Roebling Station in Mansfield Township, an NJ Transit spokesperson said. A 24-year-old Mansfield Township man was arrested on Monday, Aug. 26 and charged with stealing jewelry from a pawn shop in Hackettstown, authorities said. Bryson Borgia was riding his motorcycle at 1 a.m. in Mansfield Township on Wednesday, Aug. 14, when he lost control and crashed, according to a fundraiser set up to support his medical expenses. Man Fired Gun 9X Times To Break Up Fight, Warren County Prosecutor Says
A 34-year-old Port Murray man was recently arrested and charged after he fired a gun nine times in Warren County on Friday, May 24, authorities said. At 10:15 p.m., police in Mansfield Township responded to Gulick Street after receiving a report of gunfire, Acting Warren County Prosecutor Anthony Picione said. An investigation found that Kajaun Manley had fired nine gunshots to break up an altercation, Picione said. No one was shot, Picione said.
