9/11 Disaster Responder, Beloved Morris County Nurse Justin Polachek Dies Suddenly At 41 9/11 disaster responder and beloved Morris County nurse Justin Polachek died suddenly at his home in Long Valley on Dec. 9. He was 41. Born in Hackettstown, Polachek graduated from West Morris Central High School and the County College of Morris, his obituary says. Polachek worked as a Registered Nurse at the House of Good Shepard and was a former member of both the Mansfield and Long Valley Emergency Squads — including the group that responded to the 9/11 disaster in New York City, according to his memorial.
