Buffalo chicken pizza isn't Dave Portnoy's taste. And neither is a floppy crust. The Barstool CEO, continuing his "One Bite" review stint along the Jersey Shore stopped by Salerno's in Hazlet. The Bethany Road pizzeria threw in a free slice of buffalo chicken, but Portnoy made it abundantly clear, it's not his thing. So much so that he gave it to a nearby fan. Portnoy ultimately gave the pizza 7.3, deducting points for a floppy crust, but the fan reviewed his free slice of buffalo chicken: 8.3.

The Jersey Shore pizza tour continues. At a brewery. Barstool Sports CEO Dave Portnoy stopped by Alternate Ending Beer Co. in Aberdeen to try its pies. To be clear, the kitchen is run by Talula's, an Asbury Park-based restaurant whose website touts sourdough pizza. Portnoy, on the second stop of his "One Bite" review tour, said the pie was Detroit-style, and more of a winter pizza. "It looks heavy, it is heavy," he said. "It's good stuff — it's heavy." A Jersey Shore town that gained a reputation for being one of the best places to party while down the shore is getting a rebrand. And it's in part due to a luxury hotel set to replace three of the motels in Seaside Heights that haven't exactly been helping the family-friendly atmosphere. Two Rounds Of Thunderstorms Predicted In NJ, PA: Here's Timing
The National Weather Service is predicting two rounds of thunderstorms in New Jersey and Pennsylvania on Thursday, May 23. The first is expected in the morning northwest of the I-95 corridor through noon, and the second in the afternoon and evening along the Jersey Shore and in South Jersey (see map above). A helicopter operated out of an Essex County facility made an emergency landing at a Jersey Shore school field Thursday, March 14, authorities said. The commercial passenger helicopter operated by Zip Aviation of Caldwell touched down on a baseball field behind Middletown High School North, adjacent to Marvin Road, Middletown police said. NJ Transit Train Strikes Car On Jersey Shore
A New Jersey Transit train struck a car on the Jersey Shore, authorities said. At 7:32 a.m., North Jersey Coast Line train 3224 crashed into the car at the Bethany Road crossing in Hazlet. The car's motorist was not hurt. No injuries were reported to the approximately 150 customers or the crew on board at the time. The train departed Long Branch at 7:10 a.m. and was scheduled to arrive at Penn Station New York at 8:41 a.m. Customers from train 3224 were being transferred to a following train. New Jersey Transit Police are on scene leading the investigation.

10 Heat-Related Incidents Hospitalize 4 During Jersey Shore Half-Marathon
Ten people suffered heat-related incidents at the 50th annual Jersey Shore half-marathon in Sandy Hook over the weekend, authorities said. Four runners were taken to the hospital from the popular race on Sunday, Oct. 1, according to a National Park Service spokeswoman. Six other racers refused medical attention, the spokeswoman said. Sunday was a summer-like day with temps plunging near 80 degrees.
