880 Without Power In Clinton, More Stormy Skies Could Be Ahead Today
Thousands of New Jersey residents woke up Monday morning, Aug. 19 without power due to Sunday's storm. And according to the National Weather Service, more stormy weather could be on the way for later in the day. As of 6:40 a.m., JCP&L was reporting the most outages with the following areas without power: Clinton, 880; Branchville, 150; Hopatcong, 215; Long Branch/Asbury Park, 350; Lakewood, 265. Downed Pole, Wires On Route 12 Leave Hundreds Without Power In Flemington
A pole is down on Route 12 in Hunterdon County on Friday, Aug. 9, the New Jersey Department of Transportation said. The downed pole and wires are down on Route 12 in both directions in Flemington at Reaville Avenue and Main Street, NJDOT said. One right lane is closed, NJDOT said. Nearly 200 JCP&L customers were without power, according to the outage map. Wind gusts up to 50 mph were wreaking havoc throughout the state, causing downed trees and power outages.

Power Outage Update: Storm Leaves Hundreds Of NJ Residents In The Dark
A storm system that swept through the region Saturday afternoon, Aug. 3 left hundreds of North Jersey residents without power. As of 5:40 p.m., about 950 PSE&G customers in Hackensack did not have power, its website shows. In Closter, 145 Orange & Rockland customers were in the dark. In West Milford, more than 500 residents did not have power. Most of those customers were JCP&L. The storms, which brought temps down to the high-70s, had subsided as of press time.

1,800+ Hunterdon County Residents Without Power
More than 1,800 Hunterdon County residents were without power Wednesday evening, July 17. It wasn't immediately clear if the outages were caused by storms being forecast to sweep across the region. As of 8:45 p.m., JCP&L said 1,200 customers were without power in Pittstown; 248 in Franklin; about 600 north of East Amwell; and hundreds of others in various towns from High Bridge out to the Pennsylvania border. Tree Worker Electrocuted By Power Line In Morris County: Police
A tree worker was killed after coming in contact with a power line in Morris County on the afternoon of Thursday, April 4, police said. The worker was at 95 Taylortown Road in Montville when he came in contact with the line around 3:50 p.m., Montville Police Chief Andrew Caggiano said. Thousands of residents in northern New Jersey were without power as of Tuesday, Feb. 13 amid the snow storm that dropped several inches on the region. The JCP&L outage map shows 2,390 had no power in Warren County, mainly in Harmony Twp., Lopatcong, Phillipsburg, Pohatcong, and White Township as of 11:35 a.m. In Somerset County, nearly 900 residents had no power, mostly in Branchburg (790). A crashed vehicle that took down a power line was found abandoned in Sussex County over the weekend, authorities said. The Byram Township Fire Department responded to the crash on Whitehall Hill Road alongside several local emergency crews around 12:45 a.m. on Sunday, Jan. 29.
