A fiery explosion left one woman dead and four others hurt at a manufacturing company in Old Bridge on Wednesday, May 1, authorities said. Eileen Marco, 73, of South River, was killed at the scene of the explosion at Superior Signal Company, LLC in Old Bridge at approximately 11:20 a.m., Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone said. Four other people were injured. Photos from the scene show medical choppers landing at Veteran's Field, located nearby to transport two of the victims with serious injuries. Man Trapped In Industrial Machinery Dies In NJ
First responders' attempts to save a man trapped in industrial machinery were futile as the man died on Friday morning, Aug. 25, in Ocean County. OSHA is investigating the fatality at Cambridge Pavingstones, according to Lenore Uddyback-Fortson, regional director of the federal agency. The man was found unresponsive in the machine at 10 Havenwood Court in Lakewood just after 7:30 a.m., Lakewood police said. Responders were able to free the man and began life-saving measures. A plant worker died in a Central Jersey industrial accident this week, various reports say. The female worker died in a heavy machinery accident at United Premium Foods on Amboy Avenue in Woodbridge Township, Friday afternoon, July 28, CBS News reports. Lenore Uddyback-Fortson, regional director for the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) confirmed an investigation is underway. Man Airlifted In Hunterdon County Industrial Accident
A man was flown to a nearby trauma center after an industrial accident in Hunterdon County on Tuesday, April 11, authorities said. The Flemington-Raritan First Aid and Rescue Squad responded to Toad Lane in East Amwell Township just after 9:15 a.m., the squad said. Initial reports described a man pinned under a machine at 33 Toad Lane. The address appears on Google as the location for Rowe Electric. A Bergen County Hazardous Materials Unit was summoned to an overnight fire at a chemical plant in East Rutherford. Man Airlifted After Being Pulled Into Industrial Machinery In Warren County: State Police
A medical helicopter was called to the scene after a 63-year-old man was pulled into industrial machinery in Warren County Tuesday afternoon, state police said. Ellsworth Harris, of Oakridge, was found bleeding from his head after becoming caught in a lathe machine on Dark Moon Rd. in Frelinghuysen around 3:20 p.m., NJSP Trooper Brandi Slota told DailyVoice.com. Harris was airlifted to a nearby hospital for treatment, Slota said. The investigation was ongoing, and additional details were not released.

A worker at a Moonachie printing company had the tips of three fingers severed in an industrial accident Monday, authorities said. Worker Dies In Bayonne Industrial Accident
A worker died in an industrial accident over the weekend in Bayonne, authorities said. First responders found the man seriously injured at the eastern edge of the former Military Ocean Terminal at the Bayonne Dry Dock, around 9:10 a.m. Sunday, the City's emergency management office said. Medics from McCabe Ambulance and the Bayonne Fire Department performed CPR on the victim, who was transported to the Jersey City Medical Center. The unidentified worker later died of his injuries. An investigation is being led by the Port Authority Police Department.

Fire Doused At Hackensack Company That Makes Hand Sanitizer Stands
Hackensack firefighters made quick work of a Wednesday morning blaze at a company that makes metal stands for hand sanitizers used in medical facilities, among other products. The call to the Testrite plant on South Newman Street came in at 8:17 a.m. after the fire broke out in a malfunctioning dust-collecting machine, city firefighters said. The sprinkler system knocked down the main body of the blaze, they said. Firefighters evacuated the building, then vented it after dousing the flames. EMS evaluated a worker at the scene. Testrite has been in business a little over 100 years.
