High Bridge Crossing Guard Struck, Killed On-Duty: Prosecutor A High Bridge crossing guard and veteran firefighter was fatally struck by a vehicle while on duty Wednesday afternoon, authorities said. Robert "Bob" Bork, 75, was hit by a southbound vehicle on CR 513 at the intersection of Larrison Avenue around 12:10 p.m., according to the High Bridge Police Department and the Hunterdon County Prosecutor’s Office. Emergency responders, including local police, fire departments, and the Forensic Analysis Collision Team (F.A.C.T.), rushed to the scene. Central Jersey Man Sexting Girl Tried Hiding Relationship, Authorities Say A Central Jersey man was arrested for sexting an underage female and then trying to hide it from law enforcement agents, authorities said Tuesday. Michael F. Roach, 32, of Flemington, exchanged explicit text messages and photographs with an underage female victim,  Acting Hunterdon County Prosecutor Michael J. Williams said. Man, 60, Dies After Slamming Jeep Into High Bridge Home A 60-year-old Califon man died after crashing his car into a High Bridge home, authorities said. Wayde Scheffer was heading north on West Main Street when he crossed into oncoming traffic, slamming his 2018 Jeep Cherokee into the front deck of a house around 5:20 p.m., Monday, High Bridge Police Chief Brett Bartman said. There were multiple residents inside the house but none were injured, the chief said. Scheffer did not have any passengers in his vehicle. The crash remains under investigation.
