A fall victim in Northampton County was flown to a nearby hospital after suffering traumatic injuries, authorities said. The Lower Mt. Bethel Sandt’s Eddy Fire Company responded to the fall report on the 9000 block of Richmond Road in Bangor around 7:10 p.m. on Monday, August 1, the department said. Upon arrival, crews found that the victim had suffered traumatic injuries and requested a medical helicopter for transport. A Northampton County dump truck driver was pronounced dead at the hospital several days after a crash that also killed his passenger, authorities announced. Bobby Johnson, 66, was driving a dump truck that collided with another vehicle and hit a traffic sign support post near East 4th Street and Emery Street in Bethlehem shortly before 1:20 p.m. on Thursday, June 9, authorities said. Two young girls were killed in a Hellertown house fire Friday, April 1, authorities said. Firefighters responded to the 600 block of Linden Avenue just before 1 a.m., where they found the house engulfed in flames, officials said. Abigail Kaufman, 10, and Brianna Baer, 15, were trapped in the blaze and later rescued by firefighters, but they died at St Luke's Hospital in Bethlehem, according to the Lehigh County Coroner's Office. Suspect Fires Rounds From BB Gun Into Hellertown Playground
Police are investigating a drive-by BB gun shooting that targeted a Hellertown playground Friday afternoon. The unidentified suspect fired four rounds from a BB gun toward Morris J. Dimmick Park Playground just after 1:25 p.m., Hellertown Police said. The suspect was traveling in a dark blue four-door Honda Civic from the mid-2000s, police said.
