Leighton A. Brown, 42, of Newton, was arrested at his home last Wednesday, and charged with distribution of heroin and crack cocaine, as well as selling CDS within 1,000 feet of a school zone, police said. Brown was released from parole supervision on Nov. 4, under Gov. Murphy’s COVID-19 law that reduced and ended parole time, police said. Owner Hospitalized After Diving Into Sussex County Quarry After Dog, Responders Say A man was hospitalized after diving into a Sussex County quarry after his small dog Tuesday morning, responders said. A 45-year-old Hamburg man was walking his dog when the dog ran under the fence at the Heritage Lakes Quarry just after 10 a.m. Tuesday, Hamburg Police Lt. Jason Tangorra said. The man jumped off the cliff after the dog, but was unable to save the dog due to fatigue, police said. The owner made it close to the shore line where Hamburg patrolman Brandon Pierro pulled him in. Missing Sussex County Teen Jordin Tenk Found Dead A missing Sussex County teen was found dead on Monday, authorities said. The body of Jordin Tenk, 15, of Highland Lakes, was found around 12:30 p.m., in a heavily wooded area near Hamburg Mountain by search team members with the Sussex County Prosecutor's Office, Hardyston Township Police Chief Bret Alemy said.
