A drunk Bronx driver crashed and was captured near the George Washington Bridge after leading Tenafly police on a chase, authorities said. A borough officer began pursuing the speeding Honda, which had front-end damage, on Route 9W shortly after 10:30 a.m. Sunday The Honda headed north into Alpine before getting onto the southbound Palisades Interstate Parkway, Capt. : Knife-Wielding Gang Of Bergen Convenience Store Robbers Strikes Again
A group of knife-wielding thugs who’ve been robbing convenience stores in Bergen County apparently struck again, authorities said. The clerk at the Route 46 7-Eleven clerk in Elmwood Park told police the gang of four robbed the store of $400, 19 packs of Newports and rolling papers shortly after midnight Friday. The clerk said he was on the phone when one of them, brandishing a knife, walked around the counter and demanded he open the register. A trash-hauling roll-off truck tipped overnight in Fort Lee, closing a key road near the George Washington Bridge for nearly five hours. A pedestrian was struck by a car outside a Fort Lee shopping plaza Tuesday night, authorities said. The Palisades Park driver of a 2009 Lexus ES was making a turn out of the Linwood Plaza on Fletcher Avenue when his car hit the 39-year-old Hicksville, Long Island man in the crosswalk, Capt.
