Yankee Shortstop Anthony Volpe Swings By NJ Cafe
New York Yankee Anthony Volpe paid a visit to his home state on Friday, Oct. 6. The 21-year-old short stop stopped to snap a picture at Blue Cafe in Basking Ridge. "You never know who will come to Blue Café," the shop wrote on Facebook. "Today we were visited by New York Yankees shortstop Anthony Volpe." Last December, Paul McCartney visited the eatery. : Former Morris County Private School Student Sexually Abused By Monks Over 150 Times
A former student and football player at the Delbarton School in Morristown says in a lawsuit filed last month that three of the school’s monks sexually assaulted him more than 150 times in the 1970s. The alleged victim, now 57, said in the suit that the repeated sex abuse from the since-deceased monks — one a math teacher, one an assistant headmaster and social studies teacher and the third a headmaster of discipline — started when he was 13 or 14 years old and occurred more than 150 times in bathroom stalls, a classroom, a school office and during a Jersey Store field trip, NJ.com reports c…

: Monks, Former Delbarton Teacher Accused Of Sexually Abusing Five Students
St. Mary's Abbey and the order that runs the Delbarton School in Morris Township are facing six lawsuits saying monks sexually abused students, reports say. The suits, filed Tuesday, mark the first of more than 20 complaints that will be submitted by legal representatives, Daily Record reports. Five monks of the Order of St. Benedict of New Jersey were named in the complaints, as well as a former lay teacher at Delbarton, the report says.
