: Motorcyclist Seriously Hurt After Being Struck By Box Truck In Morris County
A motorcyclist was hospitalized with life-threatening injuries after being struck by a box truck in Morris County Friday morning, police said. The motorcyclist — a 59-year-old East Hanover man — was riding south on North Passaic Avenue in Chatham when he was hit by a box truck crossing North Passaic Avenue from Harvard Street just before 10:35 a.m., local police said. The rider was taken to Morristown Memorial Hospital for treatment of serious and life-threatening injuries, police said. Fire Crews Douse Morris County Apartment Blaze
Fire crews from several towns were quick to douse the roof of a Morris County apartment that went up in flames Monday morning, authorities said. The fire broke out at 292 Main St. in Madison around 7:50 a.m., police said in a release. Upon arrival, fire crews saw heavy smoke coming from the building’s roof and requested a second alarm, police said. The fire was doused with mutual aid from the Florham Park Fire Department, Chatham Fire Department, Morris Township Fire Department, and Cedar Knolls Fire Department. : Victim Rescued, 2 Officers Hospitalized After Battling Smoky House Fire In Madison
One resident was rescued and two police officers were hospitalized Tuesday evening in a three-alarm house fire in Madison, authorities said. Emergency crews responding to the fire report at a home on Kings Road around 5:10 p.m. learned from family members at the scene that someone was still trapped inside, Madison police said. Acting Captain Longo attempted to enter the home but was prevented access due to the heavy smoke conditions, police said.
