An Englewood officer escaped serious injury when a police cruiser was rammed by a driver in a stolen car, authorities said. Several occupants were in the 2019 Honda Pilot when a license plate reader flagged the vehicle – which had been reported stolen out of Elizabeth earlier that day -- shortly after 10:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 13, Deputy Police Chief Matthew de la Rosa said. A driver bit one detective's hand while trying to disarm another following a traffic stop that Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella said turned up 22 pounds of cocaine. You don't see this every day: Police responding to a stolen car crash in Clifton said they found the driver and his female passenger both naked on the sidewalk. Both seemed to be under the influence of some type of drug when city officers found them in the 400 block of Clifton Avenue around 11:30 p.m., Detective Lt. Robert Bracken said. A Dumont driver who was released by a judge following a Bergenfield police chase hit one of their officers with a car as he tried to flee another stop a week later, authorities said.
