Franklin Township Woman, 70, Airlifted After Falling Off Lawn Mower A 70-year-old woman was airlifted to an area hospital after falling off a lawn mower in Warren County Monday afternoon, authorities said. The woman suffered head trauma after falling off the machine in Franklin Township around 12:15 p.m., New Jersey State Police Trooper Charles Marchan told Daily Voice. No further details were released.

Jack-Knifed Tractor-Trailer Jumps Median On Route 80 A tractor-tractor jackknifed and jumped the median on Route 80 in Paterson overnight Saturday. The mishap left the trailer on on side of the highway and part of the rig on the other part near westbound Exit 58 around midnight. Two lanes were temporarily closed on the eastbound side and one on the westbound. An ambulance took the driver to St. Joseph's Regional Medical Center with injuries that weren't considered life-threatening. Firefighters summoned a hazardous materials unit to tend to a fuel spill.

Woman's Body Pulled From Water Off Jersey Shore A recovery team pulled a woman’s body from Barnegat Bay in Toms River on Tuesday. Authorities couldn’t immediately say how she ended up near the Route 37 Mathis Bridge. Toms River police and firefighters, the Island Heights Volunteer Fire Company and a New Jersey State Police marine unit initially responded to the bridge’s south side shortly before 11:30 a.m., township police said in a statement. Warren County Mechanic Hospitalized After Tire Explodes In His Face A Warren County mechanic was hospitalized after a tire exploded in his face, State Police said. The 59-year-old mechanic was transported to Morristown Medical Center with facial injuries after a tire accidentally blew up on him around 2:10 Saturday afternoon, at Pryslak Sod Farms, in Great Meadows, Trooper Alejandro Goez said. The mechanic was "conscious and talking" following the Shades of Death Road incident, which was deemed accidental and non-suspicious, Goez said. The cause was not immediately known, Goez said.

Man Struck By Rockland-To-Hoboken Train A man was hospitalized after he was struck by a commuter train Sunday night in Paterson. The Main Line #1732 train had left Suffern at 9:07 p.m. and was due to arrive in Hoboken at 10:19 p.m. when it struck the man just west of the Paterson train station shortly before 10 p.m., NJ Transit’s Lisa Torbic said. Responders said they got the victim out from under the train and took him to nearby St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center. None of the 16 people were injured and service wasn’t affected, Torbic said. NJ Transit police were investigating, she said.
