Hackettstown Woman, 48, Charged After Stealing Purse From Front Porch, Police Say

A Hackettstown woman was charged Monday after police say she stole a purse that had been accidentally left on a front porch.

Jenny G. Ordonez, 48, was identified as the suspect following an investigation into a report of a purse that was stolen from the front porch of a home on the 200 block of Main Street in Hackettstown the morning of April 19, police said.

Ordonez was charged with theft by unlawful taking, a disorderly persons offense, police said.

She was released pending an appearance in court.
