Meanwhile, the Warren County Health Department is reviewing whether or not it’s safe to continue other fall sports, according to the announcement posted Wednesday to the town’s website.
The department will initiate contact tracing to identify and those who may have been in close proximity to the individual who tested positive. Close contacts will be notified by Principal Kyle Sosnovik.
Positive cases were also identified at the Hatchery Hill School; however, students will return to class Thursday.
“My office realizes today has been difficult to process but rest assure we will continue to act in the best interest of health and safety for our students, staff and school community,” Superintendent David Mango said.
As of Oct. 28, 167 cases of COVID-19 were reported in Hackettstown.
