“It is with a heavy heart that we must announce the closing of Piggy’s,” Piggy’s Deli & BBQ posted Sunday on Facebook page.

“We have met so many wonderful people and had so many wonderful experiences that a goodbye post could not do them justice,” the post read.

Many longtime fans of the shop responded with heartbreak to the post, which has been flooded with hundreds of comments.

“Oh no, so sad to hear this!” one fan commented. “We were regulars at Piggy's since they opened...they were truly our favorite! We'll really miss Piggy's and their wonderful staff, especially Jamie and Don!”

Piggy’s — the self-described “best comfort food in Warren County” — was known for its range of fresh-smoked BBQ meats including brisket, ribs, chicken and pulled pork.

“It was a privilege to serve our community for the last 13 years,” the post said. Thank you for the memories. Good luck to all in the future.”
