Woman Suffers Life-Threatening Injuries In Jersey Shore Pedestrian Crash, Prosecutors Say A pedestrian was severely injured after being struck by a vehicle in Howell Township, authorities said. The crash happened near the intersection of US Route 9 and Lanes Mill Road at around 5:17 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 3, Monmouth County Prosecutor Raymond Santiago said in a news release on Thursday, Dec. 5. Howell Township police responded to the scene and found a 45-year-old woman from Lakewood had been hit by a vehicle while crossing the road. Hit-Run Crash Leaves Pedestrian Critical, Ocean County Prosecutor Says Authorities in Ocean County are investigating a hit-and-run crash that left a pedestrian seriously injured. The male victim was trying to cross Route 9 at First Street in a marked crosswalk around 12:30 a.m. Sunday, June 16 when he was struck by a white sedan heading north, Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer said. The white sedan continued northbound on Route 9 and left the scene.
