Woman Who Shot Man During Motel Robbery Learns Fate: Morris County Prosecutor
A 25-year-old Irvington resident was sentenced to 12 years in prison on Friday, Feb. 21, after shooting a man during a 2023 robbery in Roxbury, costing him his leg, authorities said.
Auraceli Maldonado admitted to shooting Selwyn Torres at the Roxbury Motel on Wednesday, Oct. 18, 2023, pleading guilty to robbery and aggravated assault, Morris County Prosecutor Robert Carroll, Chief of Detectives Robert McNally, and Roxbury Police Chief Matthew Holland said.

The body of a 79-year-old man who disappeared in Lake Hopatcong was recovered Monday morning, June 24, authorities said.
Authorities were called to the lake in Roxbury Saturday, June 22 around 7:30 p.m., when the Landing man, who has not been identified, went in but did not emerge, as previously reported by Daily Voice.
