Crash Snarls Traffic On Garden State Parkway In Union County:

A crash on the Garden State Parkway in Union County has backed up traffic on the morning of Tuesday, Nov. 19, authorities said. The crash occurred on the Garden State Parkway northbound near Exit 137 at Route 28 in Kenilworth and Cranford Township, the New Jersey Department of Transportation said. Though all lanes have reopened, according to NJDOT, traffic remains bad, according to a witness at the scene.

Five people were arrested after multiple raids in Hudson, Essex and Union counties last month uncovered $7,000 in illegal drugs, authorities said. A 43-year-old Union County man was arrested and charged with drunk driving after he struck a curb in Denville on Monday, Oct. 21, authorities said. New Jersey health officials are reporting an additional six cases of West Nile Virus including two deaths, and two presumptive viremic blood donor (PVD) cases in the state. The New Jersey Department of Health has confirmed the state’s first human cases of the West Nile Virus, much earlier than in prior seasons.
