Two Charged In West New York Hit, Run Crash That Critically Injured Pedestrian: Prosecutor
Two people were arrested and charged on Wednesday, Aug. 21, following a hit-and-run motorcycle crash in West New York that critically injured a pedestrian last Saturday, Aug. 17, authorities said.
At 3:40 p.m., West New York police responded to a report of a pedestrian struck by a motorcycle on Bergenline Avenue and 57th Street and found the victim with life-threatening injuries, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez said. The occupant of the motorcycle fled the scene on foot, Suarez said.

Two People Fatally Struck By Truck In Elizabeth IDed: Authorities
Two people in their 20s were fatally struck by a truck in Elizabeth on the evening of Sunday, Aug. 19, authorities said.
Tatiana Liceth, a 26-year-old Elizabeth resident, and Edisson Mauricio, 24 , were crossing the roadway at Routes 1 and 9 and Maple Avenue, when a tractor trailer that was stopped at the light proceeded forward when the southbound light turned green, a spokeswoman for the city said.
Liceth and Mauricio were fatally struck, while the driver remain on scene, authorities said. The crash remains under investigation, authorities said.
Pedestrian Struck, Killed Crossing Street In Mercer County: Police
A pedestrian was struck and killed while trying to cross the street in Hamilton Township, authorities said.
Jose Guadrou-Martinez, of Hamilton, was walking southbound across South Broad Street at about 9:35 p.m. on Saturday, July 13 when he was hit in the 2700 block, Hamilton Township police said.
Guadrou-Martinez was struck by a 2023 Honda Civic driven by Naiquaon Ingraham, of Willingboro, who was driving eastbound on South Broad Street, police said.
Guadrou-Martinez was taken to Capital Health Regional Medical Center where he died of his injuries, police said.

A suspected drunken driver plowed through three cars and struck a pedestrian in Trenton, authorities said.
The chain reaction collision occurred at about 2:20 a.m. Tuesday, July 9 at 1120 S. Broad St., Trenton police said.
