The incident occurred on Thursday, Dec. 26, around 5 p.m., according to Union Police. The suspect allegedly emerged from the restaurant’s bathroom and detonated a red-colored incendiary smoke bomb. Witnesses reported that he appeared to be filming the act for social media purposes. Customers eating at the time were alarmed and evacuated the building. Car Crashes Into Building In Summit: Authorities A car crashed into a townhouse in Summit on the morning of Wednesday, Sept. 25, authorities said. Firefighters and police responded to the scene at Norwood Avenue at 9:43 a.m., a spokesperson for the City of Summit said in a release. Upon arrival, crews discovered that a resident’s vehicle had crashed through an internal wall in the garage, causing mild structural damage, authorities said.
