Two Jersey Shore Women Stole $12K+ From Person's Bank Account, Police Say

Two Wall Township women were accused of stealing more than $10,000 from someone's bank account, authorities said.

Lisa Sperry, 60, and Jordan Gruber, 34, were arrested on Friday, Oct. 11, the Wall Township Police Department said in a news release on Tuesday, Oct. 15.

Investigators said the women took more than $12,000 from another resident's account through several fraudulent withdrawals.

Sperry was charged with 13 counts of theft by unlawful taking. Gruber was charged with nine counts of the same offense.

The women were transported to the Monmouth County Correctional Institution. They weren't listed on the jail's website as of press time.
