Woman, 24, Killed In Route 1 Crash Involving Hit-Run Tractor Trailer: Cops A 24-year-old woman from Trenton died in a crash involving a tractor-trailer that fled the scene on Route 1 South early Friday morning, Jan. 24, police said. The incident occurred near the intersection of New Road at approximately 2:25 a.m., according to the South Brunswick Police Department. Witnesses from a nearby Taco Bell reported seeing the woman’s vehicle strike the rear of a tractor-trailer. As bystanders attempted to assist, a third vehicle traveling southbound struck the rear of the woman’s car. The tractor-trailer involved in the crash fled the scene and remains unidentified. The …

Man Kills Woman 'In Presence Of Minors,' Middlesex County Prosecutor Says A 41-year-old man was arrested and charged with murdering a woman in South Brunswick on Thursday, Jan. 9, authorities said. At 3:15 p.m., South Brunswick police responded to a residence on Route 27 and found Lauren Saldana, 38, dead at the scene, Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone and Chief Raymond Hayducka of the South Brunswick Police Department said. An investigation determined Roman Romanovskiy, also of South Brunswick, killed Saldana, authorities said. Saldana and Romanovskiy knew each other and "thus it was not a random act of violence," authorities said. …
