Food Deliveryman Heard Man Berating Grandmother Before He Beat Her Dead In NJ: Affidavit The 35-year-old man accused of beating his grandmother to death in Middlesex County was "inconsistent and disoriented" in his statement to police and had bruises on his swollen hands, authorities said. Raymond T. Maldonado, of Perth Amboy, has been charged with murder in connection with the Sunday, June 30 death of Awilda Verrette, Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone previously said.
