Driving Too Slowly Gets Man Busted For DWI: Sparta PD A 45-year-old Franklin man was arrested for DWI on the early morning of Sunday, Aug. 11, after he was observed driving 10 miles below the speed limit, authorities said. At 1:48 a.m., officers were patrolling Sparta Avenue when they noticed a vehicle driving southbound failing to maintain a single lane of travel and driving below the speed limit, Sparta police said. After pulling over the vehicle, officers detected the odor of alcohol from the man's mouth and believed he was impaired, police said. At 11:58 a.m., first responders were on the scene of an overturned vehicle at Route 518 near Brecknell Way, Montgomery Police said in a release. Woman Charged With DWI After NJ Transit Train Hits Empty Vehicle In Central Jersey A Long Branch woman was accused of driving while intoxicated after an empty vehicle was struck by a New Jersey Transit train, authorities said. North Jersey Coast Line train No. 4384 hit an unoccupied vehicle in Long Branch at around 8:59 p.m. on Monday, June 3, an NJ Transit spokesperson said. The vehicle was struck at the Cedar Avenue crossing between the Long Branch and Elberon stations.
