A Beachwood man was killed on Labor Day when his motorcycle crashed into car that was changing directions on a Burlington County road, authorities said. James Mansfield, 56, died in the crash on Monday, Sept. 2, a state police spokesperson said. Troopers responded to the wreck on Savoy Boulevard in Woodland Township at around 5:37 p.m. Investigators said a Nissan car was making a three-point turn when it was struck by Mansfield on a Yamaha motorcycle. A Woodstown man reportedly admitted to having about a half-dozen beers before the crash that killed Johnny and Matthew Gaudreau, arrest records said. Sean Higgins, 43, was facing several charges including two counts of assault by auto, according to court records. He was accused of striking the NHL star and his brother while they were riding bicycles in Oldmans Township on Thursday, Aug. 29. A Monroe Township woman was killed in a crash in Freehold, authorities said. Gloria Tucker, 81, died in the crash on Thursday, Aug. 29, a Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office spokesperson said. Gunshots were fired in Franklin Township on the early morning of Sunday, Sept. 1, authorities said. At 1:15 a.m., Franklin Township Police Department responded to a 9-1-1 call reporting gunshots heard in the area of Franklin Boulevard, between Matilda Avenue and Baier Avenue, officers said.
