Person Struck By Train In New Brunswick: NJ Transit A person struck by a train briefly delayed NJ Transit service Friday, Aug. 9, officials said. The male was struck by Northeast Corridor train 3875, which left New York Penn Station at 6:47 p.m. around 8:30 p.m. just west of Jersey Ave Station in New Brunswick, NJ Transit officials said. The victim was transported to the hospital with a foot injury. There were no injuries reported to the approximately 300 customers and the crew on board.  The customers were transferred to a rescue train to continue their travel. DUI Driver Charged In Hit-Run Crash With Pedestrian In Central Jersey: Prosecutor A 31-year-old man from Central Jersey was driving under the influence when he fled the scene of a pedestrian crash, authorities said. Abel Bustos-Medel, 31, of New Brunswick, was charged with assault by auto, leaving the scene of an accident and DUI in the crash, according to Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone and Chief Vincent Sabo of the New Brunswick Police Department.
