NJ Surgeon Dies After Medical Episode On Garden State Parkway: Njsp A 54-year-old Toms River surgeon died following a medical episode while driving on the Garden State Parkway in Ocean County on Thursday, Jan. 30, authorities said. At 7:10 a.m., Dr. Jarrod Kaufman was driving a Tesla Model Y northbound on the Garden State Parkway in Lakewood Township, when his vehicle veered off the roadway into a briar patch, Chares Marchan, a spokesman for the New Jersey State Police said.  Kaufman sustained a medical episode and was pronounced dead at the scene, Marchan said. Body Found In Search For Missing 84-Year-Old South Jersey Man, Police Say (Developing) First responders found a body while searching for an elderly Galloway Township man who went missing, authorities said. The body was found about three-tenths of a mile east of the Port Republic Bridge, the Galloway Township Police Department said in a Facebook post on Monday, Dec. 9. The person wasn't identified as of press time. Police said the body matched the description of 84-year-old Alan Levin, whose family reported him missing on Saturday, Dec. 7.
