A ticket sold in Washington borough won the Jersey Cash 5 jackpot in the drawing held on Tuesday, Jan. 28, winning $1.7 million. The ticket was sold at Krauszer's Food Store on Washington Avenue. The winning numbers were 11, 18, 22, 35 and 45. The Xtra was 4 and the Bullseye was 45.

Jeep Driver, 22, Airlifted After Being Struck Head-On By Ford F-250 In Route 31 Crash: Police A 22-year-old Washington woman was airlifted to a hospital following a head-on crash in Raritan Township on the morning of Tuesday, Jan. 21 that left another driver injured, authorities said. At 11:53 a.m. authorities responded to 361 State Highway 31 for a crash between a Ford F-250 and a Jeep Liberty, after the Ford which was traveling northbound, veered into the southbound lane, striking the Jeep, Raritan Township police said. She was 43 years old. Born in Newark, Rita graduated from Frank H. Morrell High School and later from Kean University with a degree in graphic design.
