An Atlantic City police officer has been arrested following an investigation into multiple allegations of domestic abuse involving his wife, the Atlantic City Police Department announced.

A Commercial Township man was accused of soliciting and receiving sexual pictures from a 10-year-old girl in Ohio through Snapchat, authorities said.
Michael Romig, 29, was arrested on Friday, Dec. 13, the Cumberland County Prosecutor's Office said in a news release.
Police in Columbus, OH, notified Cumberland County investigators in October that someone in the county was asking for child sexual abuse material from the girl over social media. Detectives said Romig was using several Snapchat accounts to talk with girls who appeared to be 10-15 years old.

A man and his dog were struck by a vehicle in a hit-and-run crash early Saturday, Nov. 30, in Atlantic County, authorities said.

Charles Sharkey Jr., 35, pleaded guilty on Monday, Oct. 21 to aggravated assault, driving while intoxicated, and certain person not to possess a firearm, Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley Billhimer said in a news release.

Two Wall Township women were accused of stealing more than $10,000 from someone's bank account, authorities said.
Lisa Sperry, 60, and Jordan Gruber, 34, were arrested on Friday, Oct. 11, the Wall Township Police Department said in a news release on Tuesday, Oct. 15.
Investigators said the women took more than $12,000 from another resident's account through several fraudulent withdrawals.
