Daycare Worker, 28, Died Alongside Her Dog In NJ Apartment Fire, Charity Says
Arrangements have been finalized for Emily Prather, a 28-year-old daycare worker remembered for her warmth and compassion, who died following a fire at an apartment complex in South Jersey on Saturday, Nov. 1.
Prather, who was initially hospitalized following the Autumn Ridge blaze in Gloucester Township, was later pronounced dead from injuries sustained in the fire. Six firefighters were also injured and remain in stable condition, police said.
The Unforgotten Haven, a nonprofit assisting Emily's husband, Kyle, in Blackwood, said Emily died alongside her dog.

Popular DJ James 'Jay Kountree' McGuire Dies: 'Heartbeat Of Trenton'
James “Jay Kountree” McGuire III, 38, of Trenton, died on Thursday, Oct. 30, at Capital Health Regional Medical Center, according to his obituary from Campbell Funeral Chapel.
A GoFundMe organized by Jennifer Scheman had raised more than $11,000 as of Thursday, Nov. 6, to assist McGuire’s family with funeral expenses.
According to the obituary, McGuire was born April 30, 1987, in Trenton. He graduated from Ewing High School after having attended Notre Dame High School for grades nine and ten, later studying at Mercer County Community College.

NJ Native, St. John's Student Dies Suddenly In Queens
Family and friends are mourning the loss of Giovani Amores, an 18-year-old New Jersey native remembered for his kindness, confidence, and joy.
Amores passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, Oct. 16, in Queens, NY, according to his obituary posted on the Fanwood Memorial Funeral Home website. A cause of death was not immediately clear.
Born in Hoboken, Giovani grew up in Jersey City and graduated from St. Joseph’s High School earlier this year. In August, he began his freshman year at St. John’s University, where he was “filled with excitement and ambition for the future,” his obituary said.

Missing Man Found Dead In NJ, Fundraiser Confirms
Thomas Mauch, a 34-year-old Berkeley Heights resident who was reported missing last week, has died, according to a fundraiser established Wednesday, Oct. 8.
Berkeley Heights police said Mauch was located Tuesday, Oct. 7, but did not provide additional details.
Mauch is being remembered by his family as a devoted husband and loving father, son, brother and friend who loved the New Jersey Devils.

Beloved Jersey Shore Bartender Dies: Remembering Jimmy Hughes
James "Jimmy" Hughes, a bartender at Klee's Bar and Grill in Seaside Heights died on Thursday, Oct. 2, the restaurant announced.
Hughes died surrounded by his family, the restaurant said.
"Jimmy was a valued server and bartender at both Klee’s and Henry’s over the past few years, and he brought warmth, kindness, and laughter to so many," the restaurant said. "This sudden loss has deeply affected our entire Klee’s and Henry’s family. We will miss him dearly."
Henry's at Klee's was closed Thursday and Friday, Oct. 3 to give staff time to grieve, though Klee's remains open.

Nicholas M. Leonor, 14, of Somers Point, died Friday, Sept. 19, at home from a seizure disorder, according to his obituary from Wimberg Funeral Home.

The Brick Township community is mourning the sudden loss of local dad Matthew Michael Matera, who died unexpectedly at his home on Sept. 10, according to his obituary from the Weatherhead Young Funeral Home. He was 36.
Matera was born in Point Pleasant and spent his childhood in Cape Coral, FL, before returning to New Jersey, where he built a life with his wife, Jen, according to his obituary.
