Man Pulled Knife On Business Owner In Jersey Shore City's Downtown, Police Say

A man was wanted for an armed robbery in downtown Absecon's business district, authorities said.

Officers responded to the robbery on New Jersey Avenue just after 7:30 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 23, the Absecon Police Department said in a news release

A 911 caller reported that a man pulled out a knife and demanded money from a business owner. The owner got out of the business uninjured and the suspect ran away from the scene.

Police said the suspect appeared to be about 25 to 35 years old, between 5-foot-3 and 5-foot-7, and weighing between 145 and 175 pounds. Surveillance photos appeared to show him wearing a black New Balance hoodie, black pants, and a white mask.
