A crash involving two tractor-trailers and two passenger vehicles closed a portion of Route 80 early Wednesday, Aug. 21, police said. Troopers responded to the crash in the eastbound lanes at milepost 37.6 in Rockaway Township around 8:15 a.m., Sgt. Jeffrey Lebron said. Minor injuries were reported and the crash remains under investigation.

The New Jersey Attorney General's Office is investigating a pursuit in which the vehicle being pursued struck a motorcyclist, killing the operator. One person was injured in a three-car crash on Route 80 in Parsippany on the morning of Thursday, Aug. 8, authorities said. At 11:52 a.m., troopers responded to Route 80 eastbound at mile 42 for the collision between three passenger vehicles, Jeffrey Lebron, a spokesman for the New Jersey State Police said. A driver sustained minor injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital, Lebron said. The crash remains under investigation, Lebron said.

Crash Jams Route 80 In Morris County
Route 80 was down two lanes due to a crash early Wednesday, July 31 in Morris County, the NJDOT site says. It happened in the eastbound lanes in Rockaway, west of Exit 35 around 8:15 a.m. As of press time, emergency vehicles were at the scene with traffic getting by in the right lane.

Tractor Trailer Driver, 22, Airlifted In Route 80 Crash
The driver of a tractor trailer was airlifted to the hospital in a Route 80 crash early Friday, July 12 in Warren County, police said. The 22-year-old Lodi, CA man was heading east when he ran off the left side of the roadway, struck the guardrail, went into a ditch, and collided with a tree just after 6:40 a.m., New Jersey State Police Sgt. Jeffrey Lebron said. The unnamed man sustained moderate injuries and was airlifted to a local hospital. The crash remains under investigation, and there was no further information.

A tractor trailer hauling used clothes overturned on Route 80 in Morris County on Wednesday, June 19, injuring one person, authorities said. At 3:04 p.m., a tractor trailer lost directional control and overturned on Route 80 east in Roxbury Township, Jeffrey Lebron, a spokesman for the New Jersey State Police said. A loose dog was a little overzealous on Route 80 in Warren County on Tuesday, May 28, authorities said. Troopers responded to a report of a dog running on Route 80 eastbound in Allamuchy Township, Jeffrey Lebron a spokesman for the New Jersey State Police said. When troopers and civilians tried to capture the dog, they were bitten, Lebron said. The troopers and civilians suffered minor injuries, Lebron said. The dog was captured and turned over to nearby animal control, Lebron said.
