A family’s dream has come to life in Bergen County, where Lupitas Cocina is serving up traditional Mexican food in a heartfelt new venture.
The restaurant, owned by Cruz Herrera, 47, and her husband, Miguel Almazan, 48, have opened in the same strip mall as their Wilkes Deli on Ramapo Valley Road in Oakland.

Oakland police officer Karley Greulich saw a man in all black with his hoodie up and a ski mask near Enterprise Rent-a-Car around 2:40 a.m., Oakland police Capt. Timothy Keenan said.
