These NJ Stop & Shop Stores Are Among 32 Underperforming Locations Slated For Closure Stop & Shop has released a list of the 32 underperforming stores by the end of the year. The grocery giant in March announced that it planned on closing a number of stores "in the interest of company longevity," as previously reported by Daily Voice. On Friday, July 12, Stop & Shop announced the locations of stores it expected to close on or before Nov. 2. Scroll down for the complete list. A month after announcing the closure of its location in Morristown, the gelateria announced it will be closing its Montclair location in October after 10 years.
