Promising an immersive dining experience that combines culinary artistry with captivating views of the Manhattan skyline, DRIFT is taking reservations and is set to open on Wednesday, Nov. 13.
Casilli, a leading figure in the restaurant industry and mastermind behind popular hotspots like Hudson & Co. in Jersey City and Pier 115 in Edgewater, designed DRIFT to create a unique, unforgettable experience for guests.
The 17,000-square-foot space offers both indoor and outdoor seating, including a state-of-the-art rotating dining platform, New Jersey’s first, that completes a full rotation every hour, giving guests panoramic views of the Hudson River and NYC skyline.
The restaurant’s chic interior, crafted by celebrated designers Vanessa Deleon of VDA Designs and Sasi Kissane of Zilkz Studios, reflects a mid-century modern aesthetic inspired by Henry Hudson’s voyages. Highlights include a stunning 100-foot brass and emerald green-tiled bar where patrons can enjoy sushi and crudo prepared on an “ice mountain” display. Swanky terrazzo floors, oversized olive trees, and custom leather banquettes lend an air of luxury to the dining room, while the expansive outdoor terrace features a retractable pergola, providing a cozy setting rain or shine.
Leading the kitchen is award-winning Chef Bryan Noury, known for his work at Michelin-starred NYC restaurants, including Eleven Madison Park and Le Bernardin. Chef Noury’s menu will focus on Modern American cuisine with global influences, showcasing shareable small plates, globally inspired sushi rolls, and signature dishes such as handmade Agnolotti, Miso-Glazed Black Cod, and Coffee-Rubbed SRF Skirt Steak. An artisanal flatbread pizza menu and Keto-friendly options will offer diverse choices to meet every taste.
“We are thrilled to introduce DRIFT Restaurant & Bar to the Weehawken community and beyond,” Casilli said in the release. “Our goal is to provide a welcoming dining experience that brings something truly unique to the Gold Coast.”
Located near the Weehawken Ferry Terminal and Hudson-Bergen Light Rail, DRIFT will be easily accessible for both locals and visitors seeking an alternative to Manhattan dining.
