Five men and one juvenile were recently arrested and charged with numerous residential and vehicle burglaries in Somerset County, authorities said. In October 2023, broke into a Bernards Township home through a rear sliding window and stole a 2023 Mercedes Benz, Somerset County Prosecutor John McDonald announced. A 21-year-old Paterson woman was arrested and hit with multiple charges after she assaulted three arresting officers in Clifton, and bit one, on Monday, July 8, authorities said. Staten Island Motorcyclist, 27, Killed In Route 287 Crash
A 27-year-old motorcyclist from Staten Island died in a weekend crash on Route 287 in Somerset County, authorities said. Durmish Golesh was heading north on a Kawasaki when he rear-ended a Hyundai, overturned, and struck the back of an Infiniti around 11:25 a.m. on Saturday, June 15 in Far Hills, New Jersey State Police Sgt. Jeffrey Lebron said. Golesh was thrown from the bike and died, Lebron said. No other injuries were reported and the crash remains under investigation.

New Jersey officials are reviewing whether Donald Trump can keep liquor licenses at three of his golf courses following his hush-money conviction across the Hudson, a spokesperson for the Garden State's top cop confirmed on Tuesday.
