At 10:41 p.m., firefighters were dispatched to assist with a car fire one mile into the woods in Sandystown Township, the Frankford Township Fir Department said. Firefighters were able to extinguish the blaze before midnight, fire officials said. It is unknown what caused the fire and if there were any injuries.

Two Injured In Motorcycle-Minivan Crash On Route 206: Nysp Two people were injured after a motorcycle struck a minivan on Route 206 in Sussex County on the evening of Monday, Sept. 2, authorities said. At 6:29 p.m., a Chrysler minivan was stopped in traffic, waiting to turn left on Route 206 north in Sandyston Township when it was struck in the back by a motorcycle, Charles Marcha, a spokesman for the New Jersey State Police said. The driver of the motorcycle and driver of the minivan were transported to area hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries, Marchan said. The crash remains under investigation, Marchan said.

Body Of Missing Paddleboarder Recovered From NJ Lake The search for a missing paddleboarder on a Sussex County lake came to a tragic end Sunday morning, July 7, police said. James Lee, 61, of Sandyston, had been on a stand-up paddleboard on Kittatinny Lake when he fell into the water and did not re-emerge Friday, July 5 around 6:45 p.m., New Jersey State Police Sgt. Charles Marchan said. His body was recovered Sunday morning, July 8, according to Marchan. The incident remains under investigation.
