Driver Hospitalized After Striking Trees On Route 287:

A driver was hospitalized after they struck several trees on Route 287 in Morris County on the morning of Sunday, Nov. 17, authorities said. At 4:52 a.m., a Honda Odyessy was traveling northbound on Route 287 in Montville Township when it lost directional control, veered off the right side of the roadway and struck trees, Jeffrey Lebron, a spokesman for the New Jersey State Police said. The driver sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital, Lebron said. The crash remains under investigation, Lebron said.

Authorities are asking for the public’s help in locating a 15-year-old boy reported missing from Morris County. Michael Bunzendahl, a 6-foot-tall, 145-pound teenager, was last seen on Arthur Drive around 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 15, 2024, police said. A fire at a florist shop necessitated a second alarm in Morris County on the morning of Saturday, Nov. 2, authorities said. Firefighters responded to a fire at a mixed use occupancy structure on 173 Route 46 and found a fire on the first floor at Party Flower Florist Shop and transmitted a second alarm, with additional units responding to extinguish the blaze, the Mine Hill Township Fire Department said. Flanders Driver, 19, Killed On Route 80 After Rear-Ending Box Truck In Denville: Police
A 19-year-old driver was killed in an early-morning Route 80 crash when he rear-ended a box truck stopped in the shoulder, authorities said. Cameron Ray, of Flanders, was heading west in a Subrau when he rear-ended the truck near milepost 38.2 in Denville around 5:40 a.m., New Jersey State Police Sgt. Charles Marchan said. Ray died as a result of the crash while the box truck driver suffered minor injuries. The crash remains under investigation, and no additional information is available.
