NJ Ex-Con's Stash Of Assault Rifles, High-Capacity Ammo Seized, Police Say A 50-year-old New Jersey ex-convict is facing multiple charges after police responding to a call for service found assault rifles, high-capacity magazines, and more stashed in safes in the home, authorities said. Bloomingdale officers had responded to a local home on Sept. 19, when they discovered two safes, " which officers reasonably believed contained illegal firearms," the department said in a news release. Tahref L. Folkes, 33, tried to duck them but was chased down shortly before noon Wednesday, police said.
