Authorities have released new details about a fatal crash on the Palisades Interstate Parkway that claimed the life of a 16-year-old boy and injured several others, officials said. The two-car collision occurred at 5:58 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 28, in the southbound lanes of the Palisades Interstate Parkway near the New York state line, according to Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella. Authorities have released the identity of the person killed in a crash on Route 23 earlier this week. Hamid Shabuddin, 55, of Paterson was a passenger in a 2005 Toyota Camry that collided head-on with a 2021 Ford F-150 at 11 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 15 in the northbound lanes in Riverdale, a spokesperson for the prosecutor's office said.
